Oscar winner for song from movie Flashdance, Irene Cara dies aged 63

Watch the movie Flashdance once more, from the night of 11/26 to the early hours of 11/27, here in Brazil. The first time I watched it was in 1983. It was in Rio de Janeiro where I was studying at EMBRATEL.

When I realized that I was alone, without a girlfriend to watch with me, I felt like crying, things from a moment in life... When I watched it now, I still didn't know that Irene Cara had died, I felt a deep sadness again sadness...

I felt the same thing as in 1983... And seeing my Twitter, I was once again saddened to hear Irene Cara died. I'm sorry and I ask God that God comfort your friends and family. (The end).

With "Flashdance...What a Feeling", Cara won the Academy Award for Best Song in 1983, in addition to the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. Other hits of hers included "Why Me", "Breakdance" and of course the Fama hits like "Out Here on My Own".
